No other city in the world can be considered the centre of the world more than Rome. Founded in 753 BC, over the years has seen its territory expand, to create one of the greatest empires ever existed on the face of the Earth, to the point of becoming without doubt one of the most important and influential cities in history.
Through periods of splendour and decline, the ‘eternal city’ has always managed to resurrect and shine. While today other cities around the world may be commercial epicentres, Rome remains the cradle of the western culture, a beam of light where to look in finding inspiration and answers.
Nonetheless, merging the new requirements of today’s life with so much history is a very delicate matter, mainly when designing retail shops in ancient buildings. We at PGS Ingegneria have gone many times through these obstacles, whether caused by archaeological findings during construction, art pieces to preserve or bureaucracy to comply.
We are ready to assist our international clients in their shop design, now more than ever, as the economy is restarting after the worst pandemic, we can recall. Slowly but steadily, the whole world is recovering. Once again, Rome will rise and shine, showing that the honorific title as ‘Caput Mundi’ is well deserved!
